The mid-pilothouse layout gives spacious living and accommodation for family. She has beautifully built cabinetry in Teak and Burr Oak with granite bench tops. She is a quality built high spec’d boat. A special feature in her cockpit is an island unit which houses a sink, bait station, rubbish bins and the transom doors. The island is also home to the boats name and is lit up with hidden strip lighting.

Prestige Yachts have announced their VIP weekend in Cannes, France to exhibit and sea trial their new models for 2012, the Prestige 550, Prestige 60S & Prestige 500.

This represents a unique opportunity to view these vessels with the professionals that built and designed them as well as take in some of the beauty of Southern France in the build up to the mediteranean summer.

Jeanneau Owners Club New Zealand Launch 2012

It’s with great pleasure that I am able to announce our plans for the first Jeanneau owner’s event since Orakei Yacht Sales became the new distributor in September 2011. We are keeping things simple first off and hope that once we have a club formed that we can arrange many more events tailored specifically to your individual wishes.

We have decided to start with a BBQ on the Beach at Motuihe Island in the inner Hauraki Gulf. There is a nice Anchorage here and we will have a boat available to bring you ashore or you can use your own tender.

So as not to miss the end of summer we have gone with 2.30pm, Saturday 25^th of February with a back up date of Saturday March 3^rd in case of bad weather.

We will supply the drinks, food and BBQ, so all you need to do is turn up!

As this is our first event for Jeanneau Owners, we will need to know numbers as soon as possible. We hope there are families joining us as we plan to organise some fun things for the kids to do so please let us know their ages and any suggestions you might have (no computer games). We are thinking of some watersports and games on the beach but would like to hear your thoughts on this.

For those that would like to cruise (race?) out in the company of other Jeanneau’s, we have put a regatta together that will start at 11am off Bean Rock Buoy but we will plan this a bit closer to the day. Please let me know if it is your wish to sail out with the other jeanneau’s and I will put you all in touch via email addresses.

There are some Jeanneau owners that we will not have on file so if you have a friend that you think might benefit from this day, please pass the email on. Jeanneau Owners Regatta 2012

After feedback from some Jeanneau Owners, it has become evident that there are many of you wanting more events and get togethers organised for the Jeanneau Owners in New Zealand. We have also heard that some of you want to be able to test out your Jeanneau’s performance against others out on the water. So, we have put together a small course out on the inner Hauraki Gulf to precede our first Jeanneau Owners Club Catch up this Saturday at Motuihe Island. The course information can be downloaded on pdf below and you will find the GPS co-ordinates of the buoys we will be rounding on this document.

We will also have the Orakei Vice out on the course taking photos of the yachts participating and assisting with the start and finish line. The Orakei Vice, for those that dont know, is our 8.5m Protector with yellow pontoons and we should be easily visible on the course. We will also have another vessel out there, a large black center console from Scout Boats NZ. We are all looking forward to the day!

Jeanneau Sea Trials in Cannes, France

Jeanneau have announced Customer Sea Trials of the Sun Odyssey 509, Sun Odyssey 44DS and Sun Odyssey 379 in Cannes, France from March 30th to April 1st 2012. While we are many miles away here in New Zealand, if you happen to be travelling to Europe at this time, these sea trials represent a unique opportunity to meet the team of jeanneau, and, of course, test the various models out on the French Riviera.

There will be a Jeanneau hospitality tent on site and they have negotiated a special price at the Gray d’Albion**** Hotel in Cannes, and a car service for airport transfers.

Jeanneau do these sea trials from time to time to introduce the new models of the range so while you may not be able to make this event, if you have a trip to Europe planned in the future, drop me a line to see what events might be happening at the same time and the door is always open for a factory tour at any time which is a really amazing tour.
